Good morning, well I have finally sorted the comments thing so you can now comment on my post (please be kind). Any helpful suggestions on how to improve this site would gratefully appreciated. I would like some music, perhaps a choice or music while people are looking would be nice. A clock, but I would really like to ad web sites that I think are rather good too, unfortunately do not know how to do this as yet..... did warn you I was a bit rubbish when it come to computers lol.
Any way I hope it isn't that bad that it stops you looking.

Marie Curie cancer charity cards

Hi here are some more pictures of cards, for some reason I can't find the one I really want to upload, I will have another look for it.

These were just a few made for cancer charity event Marie Curie at Dukinfield Town Hall, we had a fabulous evening of fun and craft, met new people as well as caught up with some I knew. there were over 200 cards made on the night and the local Craft Central at Daisy Nook garden centre customers had brought in over 500. The Marie Curie cancer shops sell all these donations for £1 each, obviously some are worth £5 + if you were to buy them from a card maker craft shop etc so grab a bargain and buy one or go to there web site and see how you can get involved. http://www.mariecurie.org.uk/

CARDS

I'm really getting into making cards too and love these ideas some from craft mags. And some from friends on forums, Here are a stiched card very easy to do and some waterfall cards which I thought would be very technical but are suprisingly easy. The lilac & black was for my sons 16th birthday. However, after doing this I changed my mind on the pics I used and went for something else.

CARDS

The girly card is lovely, no gadgets used to make this card, just patience and good scissors. I love the idea of matching envelope, and I have begun to personalise a lot of my envelops like this where possible. The other is just the quickest card to make, just a piece of patterned paper with the ribbon covering the join, and a simple stamp sentiment on the top, this is a great fall back for any kind of card, just use appropriate paper eg. wedding and gold/silver ribbon and perfect simple card.

PET SCRAPBOOK Cont.

As I said more pics of my beloved pets. I have used a mixture of papers, Laura Ashley (LA),Greys and Bazzil card. Accessories LA and Paper Mania (PM) You will have to bare with me regards the computer as I am very new to this and only have a basic knowledge, I hope this looks OK though.

Here we have Bones so named as he was a stray and kept visiting us, I fed him (I'm such a softy) and put advert in paper & local shop to say I had found this poor dog. He ended up joining Tabatha, and they got along really well.

Sadly both these left us and we a few years later we ended up with Axel & Slash, so named because my hubby was/is a fan of Guns & Roses. These adorable kittens were a gift for me when I gave birth to our youngest child, he is fourteen now and they bless are not with us any more. However, not to be with out pets for long this album is to be continued......

PET SCRAP BOOK

This a scrapbook I started last night, In the past we have had many pets, and some are no longer with us, so I thought I would start an album of past and present pets. I will continue with it, after all they are a large part of our lives.
This is Tabatha, I had her when my first son was born almost 20 yrs ago, she was the first cat I hever had, as as a child we had only ever had a dog.

FIRST SCRAP LAY OUTS

These are a couple of pages from my first ever scrapbook, I remember how proud I was at the time, and now all I can see are all the mistakes I made. However, this attempt really got me in to the bug of scrapping. I used the DCWV spring stack, Insperations die cut paper, insperations stamps & ink, buttons etc, things have gotten better since then (I hope lol) but none the less I am still proud of my 1st attempt lol.

WELCOME

Hi,

have never done anything like this before, and thought I would give it a go, I'm not very computer literate, I only know the basics, so it may well take a while to get this sorted so please have a little patience with me.
I aim to use this BLOG to talk about my new passion, CRAFTING hence the name of my blog "crafty dawnie" I have always been good at making things, wish I could do it as a job. I have been known to draw, paint, knit, sew, cook. Now I am very much into making Scrapbooks (SB) Lay outs (LO) and cards of all kinds, I really am enjoying the time I have to do this. Already I have a good stash(things to do crafting with) which is crammed in the kitchen in several tower storage boxes. I always get excited and I love purchasing the stash nearly as much as making cards and LOs. My Hubby, other half (OH) it very supportive, his hobby is vinyl collecting, although he will not sell any of it.
We have three boys two of which are still at home, 14yrs and one almost 16yrs so unfortunately it will be a while before OH and I can claim their rooms for our hobbies.
